  7. DESCRIPTION
  8.  
  9.      PSA Cards is an easy to use address program.  It looks
  10.      like a card file and it works like a card file.  Just
  11.      click on a divider tab or card to open or close it.
  12.      
  13.      PSA Cards is also an OLE 2.0 container application.
  14.      This means that you can link or imbed objects
  15.      (pictures, maps, documents, sound and video clips)
  16.      created in other programs in your PSA Cards entries.
  17.

  24.    INSTALLING FROM A FLOPPY DISK
  25.  
  26.      Run the setup program, setup.exe, from the Program
  27.      Manager, Start menu, or Explorer.
  28.  
  29.    LOCKED FILES
  30.  
  31.      If the setup program cannot replace an earlier version
  32.      of a file because it is already in use, restart (reboot)
  33.      you computer after the installation.  When a file can't 
  34.      be replaced because it is locked by another application, 
  35.      the setup program writes a file called wininit.ini in the 
  36.      Windows directory.  This file contains information on how to
  37.      replace files as the system is started.  Windows looks for
  38.      this file on system startup.
  39.  
  40.    IF SETUP.EXE WON'T LOAD
  41.  
  42.      Occasionally, setup.exe will not load.  This usually occurs
  43.      when a previous InstallSHIELD installation has failed and 
  44.      left junk in your C:\TEMP directory.
  45.  
  46.      If this happens to you, use the Explorer to clean out 
  47.      your C:\TEMP directory.  Then try the installation again.  This 
  48.      is a problem with the Stirling Technology InstallSHIELD system.  
  49.      Hopefully they will provide a fix for this soon.

  51.      The install program can also be prevented from loading by
  52.      some virus protection programs.  Of course the solution to 
  53.      this problem to turn off your virus protection program while
  54.      you run the installation.

  56.    INSTALLING IN AN EXISTING DIRECTORY
  57.  
  58.      When installling in an existing directory and running 
  59.      Windows NT 4.0, you may get a "General file transfer error".
  60.      If this happens, try deleting the directory and then 
  61.      installing.  Be sure to save any data files that you may 
  62.      in the directory before deleting it.

  64.    UNINSTALL PROGRAM 
  65.  
  66.      The install program implements an uninstall feature
  67.      that will remove PSA Cards from your system.  To access this 
  68.      program, click on Settings command in the Start Menu, then 
  69.      the Control Panel, and finally double click the Add/Remove 
  70.      Program icon.

  72.      In Windows NT, double click the Uninstall icon in the
  73.      PSA Cards program group.  Be sure you want to uninstall
  74.      PSA Cards before doing this.  Once started in Windows NT, 
  75.      the program immediately proceeds to uninstall PSA Cards.

  77.      If you have added files to the PSA Cards directory,
  78.      Uninstall will not delete the directory.  Nor will it
  79.      delete data files (other than sample.car) that you have
  80.      created in the PSA Cards directory.

  82.    IF YOU ARE CONVERTING FROM PSA CARDS FOR WINDOWS 3.1, READ THIS:

  84.      When you install PSA Cards for Windows 3.1 on a computer running
  85.      Windows 95, or when you install Windows 95 over Windows 3.1 with
  86.      PSA Cards already installed, there will be a "PSA Cards" program 
  87.      folder on the Windows 95 Start menu.  When you install PSA Cards
  88.      for Windows 95/NT 4.0 on a computer running Windows 95, a program
  89.      icon named "PSA Cards Win 32" will appear on the Start menu.
  90.      Since the InstallSHIELD Windows 95 installation routine does
  91.      not check for the presence of the old PSA Cards program folder
  92.      from the Windows 3.1 version, you will need to remove it from the
  93.      Start menu manually.  To do this, right click on the Start menu,
  94.      open the Programs folder, find the old PSA Cards program folder,
  95.      and drag it to the Recycle Bin.
